El Castillo begun just this last season, is the newest work of LaVina Mission. The colonia Urias church and feeding center under the leadership of Rosy, has pioneered the work in El Castillo as an outreach demonstrating in actuality the Mexican Church’s assumption of “The Great Commission” here in the Mazatlan area! Presently they have the Children’s Program on a Friday afternoon and the Mobile School Bus goes out with games, stories, music and puppets along with a Bible Lesson. Then on Saturdays there is another Children’s Program, Adult Bible Study and a Feeding Program. Many people have already come to one of the meetings and it appears these programs are going to be an excellent opportunity to serve this Colonia.
