Torreon has two churches in the colonias (poor neighborhoods). In the colonia “Tierra Blanca” is an established church, planted around 1999. It was planted by a native Mexican missionary from the Vineyard in Fresnillo. In the colonia “Catorce de Noviembre” is a church plant that is just getting started. Property was purchased in the spring of 2006. The property included some rooms that were already constructed, which have been cleaned up and are being used temporarily. Construction was started on the main meeting room in the summer of 2006.
In both colonias we offer various activities including feeding programs for the children, home groups to minister to the people in the church and draw new people in, and other activities that vary over time.
