FRED COLLOM
Founder, President, Sr Pastor
Fred began his ministry in Mexico in 1978 in the city of Fresnillo in the state of Zacatecas. After planting several churches and raising up local leaders there he moved to Mazatlán in 1995. In Mazatlán, Fred planted the first church in the Golden Zone. Shortly thereafter, he made the services bilingual to meet the needs of the English-speaking tourist and snowbirds. A few years later, because of lack of space the services were separated. Fred then began to plant community centers in the poor colonias to feed Children. After building up Mazatlán we started community centers/churches in Reynosa, Torreon, Puerto Vallarta & La Paz. Fred is currently the Senior Pastor at the church in the Golden Zone for both the English and Spanish services. He is a very active leader in all areas of this ministry. ORALIA COLLOM
Director of Colonia Leaders
Oralia has been serving with La Viña since 2002. She became involved on a full-time basis in 2013 and currently oversees the colonia leaders in all 18 of the Community Centers of Hope in Mazatlán. She oversees several of the office staff and assists in planning and scheduling of events for the Spanish church. She actively serves at the Community Center of Hope in Loma Bonita.
DAVE NEWTON
Associate Pastor/Mission Team Lead
Dave has been serving with La Viña since 1998. He is an Associate Pastor for the English Service in the Golden Zone and also pastors the church in Francisco Madero with his wife, Lolita. He leads the mission teams that come from the United States, Canada, and the UK. He assists Fred with the overall running of the ministry here in Mazatlán. Dave has opened his home to many interns that have come here to help us.
ALEX BARRAGAN
Multimedia Coordinator
lex has been serving with La Viña since 2017. He is the Youth Pastor for the Spanish Church in the Golden Zone. He also leads the Youth Group in Loma Bonita on Saturday mornings. He oversees the Facebook and YouTube presence for La Viña as well as the projection system for both English and Spanish churches on Sunday mornings.
DANAE BURRIS
Mission Teams/Scholarship Coordinator
Danae has been serving with La Viña since 2012. She assists Dave when mission teams are here by providing office support and communication prior to their arrival, plus assisting with translating when the team is actually here. She works with Lolita in the Scholarship program by maintaining the records in the office and assisting with the benefit distribution in the Community Centers of Hope. She actively serves at the center in Miguel Hidalgo on Saturday mornings.
ADRIANA VIRGEN
Bookkeeper/Receptiont
Adriana has been serving with La Viña since 2002. She takes care of the day to day bookkeeping duties, vehicle licensing and registrations, assists people when they come in, as well as distributes funds to the colonia leaders for the feeding programs. She cooks breakfast and sometimes lunches for the visiting mission teams when they are here. She actively serves at the Community Center of Hope in Valle del Ejido on Saturday mornings.
KRIS GIL
Bookkeeper
Kris has been serving with La Viña since October 2015. Her duties include the overseeing of the US, Canadian, and Mexico accounts. She assists with the English Service on Sunday mornings and helps with other areas in the office. She works together with the VCS Coordinator to maintain the program.
SUE LAWRENCE
VCS Coordinator
Sue has been serving with La Viña since 2019. She actively works with all aspects of the Child Sponsorship Program. She works together with Kris in the bookkeeping department to maintain the day to day duties.
