The last team of the season recently left, but not without leaving their mark on Mazatlan. The Five Cities team worked in several colonias and were a great help. The big wall in the courtyard of our center in Valle del Ejido had taken a beating from the elements and needed a freshing up. The Five Cities team scraped, sealed and painted the wall leaving it ready for a new mural. Now we just need an artist to paint a new mural.
One of the other places to receive a visit from the team was Loma Bonita. The visit included food bag distribution, hair cuts and fun crafts for the kids. The most special part of the day was when Pastor Jose of Five Cities and Loma Bonita Community Center Leader Flor took a moment to dedicate the new addition, which has been offically completed, to the Lord.
Members of the team taught the kids class and adult classes in two centers, Renato Vega and Miguel Hidalgo, on Saturday and the kids loved the visitors. Five Cities was the last of four groups this year. It has been wonderful seeing teams come back after a year or two of not seeing them due to the pandemic. Thank you to all the teams that came and served with us this year. We hope to see you next year. For information on mission trips with us email Danae at missionsteam@vineyardmcm.org.
